FCSN Financial Transparency and
Legal Compliance
The Florida Cancer Support Network is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The officers of the Florida Cancer Support Network shall be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, the Immediate Past Chairperson of the Board of Directors, the Vice-Chair for Advocacy, Education and Support Services, Vice Chair for Regions, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Chair of the Governance Committee
Donors, potential donors, volunteers, and all members of the public have a right to know not only the tax-exempt status of our Foundation, but also how the Foundation spends the funds entrusted to it by all donors, sponsors, and other funding sources. Foundations that hold themselves out to the public as non-profit tax-exempt organizations dedicated to the public good have an obligation to be transparent.
